Our Chambres d'Hôtes is within a former cognac store house, originally built in 1632 by Philippe Huet (the famous cognac producer) to store his barrels before export.
We are right on the Compostella trail, on the outskirts of the medieval market town of Saint Jean d'Angely - central to the Charente Maritime so you also have easy access to Cognac,
Saintes, Saintonge countryside and the
fantastic coast around La Rochelle, the Iles de Re, Oleron, Aix and Madame, as well as Royan.
Our guest area includes the big salon occupying the entire first floor and overlooks both the River Boutonne and the town's lake. A room awaits you all year round from just 40 to 70 euros per night depending on the time of year, including
full continental breakfast.
We'll also be more than happy to provide advice in planning the perfect holiday or house hunting.
Relaxation, inspiration and value.
